About this category
Broadcast Engineer of the Year recognises an engineer or technical specialist whose work kept a radio or television service on air, sounding and looking its best.
The judges look for technical skill, reliability under pressure and improvements that made a difference to the station and its audience.
Eligibility
Open to broadcast engineers, technical operators and technology staff at radio and television broadcasters, based in or serving the region. Self-nominations and nominations made by others are both welcome.
